Dylan Says Goodbye …

Well, not “goodbye” to his fans, anyway …
Actually, the folk-rock legend’s son, Jakob, is selling his dad’s former mansion in L. A. (it’s now used as a recording studio). And what a bargain!:Now, YOU — yes, YOU! — can own the 5-bedroom main house and two guest houses for the unbelievably low price of just eleven million dollars!

And Tupelo, Mississippi will commemorate the 74th anniversary of the birth of their native son, Elvis Presley, with the dedication of the latest marker on the Mississippi Blues Trail — and this one’s gonna honor Presley’s birthplace. Even their Governor is gonna be on hand for this dedication!
Speaking of Elvis, I guess old habits never die: There were actually two more “sightings” of the singer recently. This time, one was in Georgia, and one in Michigan (GEEZ, people! Elvis would be 74 [almost] by now! Give it a break, willya??) …

Got a coupla rockin’ sites for ya:

First, tune in to visit DJ Franky at his King Kong Klub! Now, unless you speak German, you’ll need to translate the page, but the music is great
The other is The Power Pop Station. It’s in Spanish, but the bands come from all over … and the music, news and so much more is fantastic!

Okay … that’s it for now, yardbirds; but we’ll have more in less than 24, so stay tuned! Gonna be includin’ some new stuff beginning in the next edition.
So, until then …
see ya on the flip side!

For 11 million dollars I’d expect Bob to give weekly performances Saturday afternoons by the pool.

Dietus, the key word here is “L. A.” Now, who wantsta shell out THAT kind of money for a house that could be threatened by out-of-control brushfires, earthquakes, or old hippies who ran outta gas before they got to San Francisco?

Pretty good TAKE for a dude who spent his waking years knockin’ the rich establishment, huh??
