Sir Paul to Marry Again? More MaccaNews …

Are you kiddin’?? AGAIN?!? So SOON???

Actually, the New Musical Express (NME) has announced former Beat(man, they know who he was. Just get on with it!) Paul McCartney is plannin’ to marry his new love, Nancy Shevell, now that her divorce has just become final!

But, according to the Aussie mag, The Age, ’tain’t so! And their source is … Paul McCartney!

Me?? I’ve gotta agree with Sir Paul. It’s a bit early in the game for that … (btw, didja hear Craig Ferguson accidentally announce him as “Saint Paul McCartney” last night?? Though he milked his mistake for a few laughs , it was an actual gaffe, yardbirds … Craig ad-libs his entire monologue …)

BUT HE’S GONNA FEED THE CAT

Actually, Macca and country superstar Dolly Parton are gonna be on singer Yusuf’s (formerly known as Cat Stevens’) new, still-untitled album.

Says NME about Yusuf/Cat:
“The renowned singer-songwriter is gearing up to release the as-yet-untitled album in late spring. This will be his first non-religious album in 28 years. The single ‘Boots & Sand’ features guest appearances by McCartney and Parton, and the video for the song was shot by Bob Dylan’s son, Jesse.

Yusuf explained that he wrote the song after he was denied entry into the US in 2004, due to what was reportedly a case of mistaken identity and heightened security following 9/11. “It’s a slight oddity of a song,” he told Billboard. “The image I had was kind of a cowboy B-movie made in Italy, but the story came from real events, real people.”

Guess that’s … “lettin’ the Cat outta the bag?” Ahem …

Speakin’ of Macca: he, Pearl Jam frontman Eddie Vedder, Sheryl Crow, folk legend Donovan, Paul Horn and Moby will be performing at a New York benefit for the David Lynch Foundation. The gig’s set for the Radio City Music Hall on April 4.

The show is set up to further the Foundation’s goal: teach 1 million children the techniques of Transcendental Meditation. (hey … don’t knock it; the double-E’s practiced it for a few years now. The only warning I can give ya is: It doesn’t do a blamed thing for hair growth (y’see, I’m bald on top, an’ … an’ … awww, forget it …). Anyway, there’s no word on ticket info yet, but I’ll get that to ya as soon as I find out.

Well, that’s it for this go-’round, so, from 3:00 AM in the icy Appalachian foothills, lemme remind ya:
Keep your eyes on the skies, your feet on the ground, your heart with the music …
and I’ll see ya on the flip side …
