New Dylan LP, More Reunions

Well, Spring’s finally here — but, in case ya haven’t had enough of Jack Frost, here’s a little extra.
Y’see, that’s the pseudonym Bob Dylan used to produce his new (and, at the moment, still untitled) album, which’ll be released sometime next month.

The disc has a live-in-the-studio feel that’s almost become Dylan’s trademark. With an accordion supposedly played on each track by David Hidalgo of Los Lobos, the album has more of a border-cafe feel; it highlights struggling-love songs. But look for a bit of humor, a lot of angst, and, of course, social commentary throughout the album.
I’ll letcha know more (including its title) as soon as it’s announced, okay?

MORE REUNIONS

Bad Company (Paul Rodgers, Mick Ralphs and Simon Kirke) are planning to reunite for a tour this year, according to the band’s website. Details for the Bad Co trek will be announced shortly.

The other original member of Bad Company, Boz Burrell, died in September 2006. The 60-year-old bassist suffered a heart attack at his home in Spain.
Right now, it’s not known how the band’s reunion will affect Rodgers’ other project, Queen + Paul Rodgers. It’s been said that the Q+PR are “on hold”, but also rumoured that the band has broken up.
So which is it?? I’ll letcha know …

Meanwhile, there are other reunions coming up. As well as semi-obscure 80s UK rockers Chrome Molly (any across-the-pond readers wanna tell us who they were??), drummer Carl Palmer of classic legends Emerson, Lake and Palmer says on his website: “There is talk of an ELP reunion tour in the fall.”
