Talkin’ ROCK and FORE (plus 2?) …

So ya dig classic rock, huh??
Well, ya oughtta meet the creatures that inhabit this info superhighways’ fave rock oasis, a Sixties-and-beyond-and-before rock forum called, appropriately, Rock-Talk!

Now, you’ll not only get to talk oldies and more, but you’ll be able to listen to them through their “jukebox” page. And dig this: It’s the first actual community (not just names on a screen; these folks actually become your friends if you approach them gently and feed them right. lol) I’ve ever been involved with (and this bird has been around the pike a few times)!

Oh … and, after ya join, be sure to check out the tracks from the man who wrote some of the Dave Clark Five’s greatest hits and introduced Jimi Hendrix’s drummer to rock, Ron Ryan! In fact, in the main forum, you’ll be able to talk a bit with him!

The membership is free, btw, and it doesn’t matter if yer a guy, a gal or a Martian: just come on over and check it out!

THE FORE TO (sorta) DOUBLE??

Well, not exactly (that is, as far as the band itself), but there are a few “additions” that require some serious and happy congrats and props:

First, to superstar guitarist Matt Hardy (center, on the Rickenbacker) , as he and his lovely wife are expecting their second child soon! (Y’know, it proves the flexibility of math: When two people get together, it shows that “1+1=2″. But, when the lady luv gets in “the family way”, it shows that “1+1=1″! [Think about it]) Anyway, Matt and Victoria, your children are just as blessed to have you as parents as you are to have them as your own!

And the band’s fearless leader (and amazing bassist and songwriter), Spencer Hannabuss, has just announced his engagement to the lovely Natalie (sorry, ladies! But she is a treasure, and they complement each other so much …). Hope they have a zillion years together in happiness and love …

BEHIND THE SCENES …

There are a lotta things happening over here in RockCentral, and even more great things going on in The Fore camp! It’s a pleasure working with these lads (who’ve just come back from their respective holidays), and their star just continues to rise in the worldwide skies of rock …
Speakin’ of holidays: I want to send out a special and heartfelt wish for the good health and recovery of the lady Annette. She’s wife of Fore manager Neil, and, whilst he was away, she suffered a nasty fall. With her hubby at side now, though, she’s recuperating well. Still, keep her in yer thoughts and prayers, okay?

Me? Gotta get off here for awhile. My quarter’s about to run out …
See ya on the flip side …

Off The Subject for A Mo …

Eight years ago, on a dark and stormy night in A-Town, I’d just finished the first edition of a hand-held (hmph … sounds more timely. Usedta be “hard-copy”) newspaper called The Window and didn’t wanna just twiddle thumbs (well, if they’d been mine, maybe …). Realizing that newspapers have the mystical power of stimulating cats’ bladders, I wanted to build one that would be impervious to the incontinent

TA-DAAAAA!!! Enter the Great Internet Newspaper, a sort-of-literary speed-bump on the info superhighway!! It lasted for all of 312 weeks! And it apparently caught on pretty well, because, by the time all was said and done, the ’spaper netted around 35,000 faithful followers each month (I assume they were faithful. Dunno if Letterman or Gosselin were readin’ it or not …).

Due to endeavour-overload (sounds like a NASA phrase, for some reason …), I hadta close shop in 2006 with the promise to readers that it’d be back just as soon as the smoke cleared a bit.

Suddenly, all the cheering stopped … Anyway,

It’s back online as promised (awright … just cussed me out??) with news from both sides of the Atlantic and other articles that no cat can pee on. And, since I just put it back online, there’ll be a lot more added to it as time goes on!
In this issue (and, btw, each one will be archived [andnoitsnotablog]) you’ll find The Fore, Ron Ryan, Look To The Stars, Marge Simpson naked, strange news (other than the preceding), quotes, links and more!

So here’s yer invite to join in the fun! But, ABOVE all, keep yer dial set Right HERE … because this is where the rock’s gonna thrive, beyond nine-to-five, stayin’ alive and in overdrive!
Now … enough jive … I fergot to give ya the link to the site: Just click greatinternetnewspaper.com … and yer there (no ads, pop-ups or coffee served …)

Okay … that’s it for my little off-subject thang. So, until tomorrow, when we get back to the bidness of Rocque and Rolle
see ya on the flip side.

‘To Be Continued’ Continued …

REMEMBER WHEN I SAID “…TO BE CONTINUED”??

Okay, yardbirds … here ’tis:

After the Doc gave me the 411 on what had to be done to get this Electric Eagle back in the air (see this post), I came back home and hit the computer hard to see what was workin’ me nearly to death.
Then, after I bandaged my hand, I tried again … and, after going through every file except the one for my fingernails, I went on to bed. Early. Strange territory … even after Craig Ferguson’s monologue …

(Thought it was strange, though, that one of the ?’s Doc asked was if … ummm, I were still able to … er, “perform” [and I ain’t talkin’ “guitar” here!]. Why’d he wanna know that?? I mean, there’s a vas deferens between my heart and my … well …) Anyway, at about Five in the AM morning (okay, maybe it’s a coupla feet lower, but still …), I awoke with a start (actually, with a cat on my neck … but “a start” sounds much more dramatic …); it hit me like a hurricane (either that, or the cat had gas …).

When everything started evening out (and I reallllllllly need an evening out, come to think of it …), I realized that my most productive work has been in the name of music. But, recently, (huh? ‘Cause I like small print, that’s why! If it’d been on my marriage license years ago, I might’ve had time to change my mind …) I’d taken on tasks that were everything but that, and not only were they not payin’ off like they said but they were time-consuming. Look … with everything else on my plate, I didn’t need journalistic indigestion!

Do I have to cut back on my workload? Yes. Am I going to give up some of the rock business? No. Do I have to cut back on answering my own questions? Uh-huh … so let’s move on:

So, the double-E is still gonna be busy with articles, blog posts, reviews … and especially doin’ the one thing he’s happiest with, and that’s being the stateside Press Agent for the greatest band to come outta England since the great Invasion!
Right. Bingo McCoy and the Sin-City Studs.
Of course, I’m actually talkin’ about The Fore (who recently was contacted by a guitarist with the band, Babyshambles [Pete Doherty’s group] who wants to record them!). But I’m gonnnnnnnnna be doin’ it during the early hours (and on non-stick keys …).

Now, I’ll have updates on the band in our next post. To say the least, the lads are def on their way up … and it’s just a matter of very short time before they invade America!

But, for now, gotta thank my mate Ron Ryan for sending me a copy of “Relax” by one of his earlier bands, Crowbait (man, I just love that name!! It’s as country as creasy-greens and fatback …). The song itself just relaxes the tar outta you!
If you haven’t heard Ron’s music (remember: He was the one who wrote the hits Because, Anyway You Want It and the original Bits and Pieces for the Dave Clark Five!), you’re really missing an amazing musical genius (as well as one of the finest men and most knowledgeable rock historians on the planet!). Ya just gotta go to his site and read more!!

Alright … got a bit more work to be done, so whaddya say we get back together tomorrow about this time? Now that this has been said, we can get back to the business of ROCK!!

See ya on the flip side!

While I Was Away ….

I’ll talk later about my momentary “disappearance”. But, for now, let’s take a serious moment to remember some special people, okay?

First: the folk music world — in fact, anybody who loved the simple-but-soultouching sounds of that genre — is grieving tonight upon hearing that Mary Travers, the blonde beauty who belted out some of the most powerful protest songs of the Sixties with her partners, Paul Stookey and Peter Yarrow, died Wednesday evening of leukemia at age 72.

The Louisville, Kentucky native was considered both the soul and verve of Peter, Paul and Mary, whose songs like Puff, The Magic Dragon, If I Had A Hammer, Blowin’ In The Wind and Leaving On A Jet Plane, became legend. Their take-off of rock music, I Dig Rock and Roll Music (in which they mimic Donovan, Mamas and Papas and even The Beatles) was hilarious, and scored a “direct hit” against censorship.

Though they broke up and reunited many times before, their last performance was just four months ago in Brunswick, New Jersey. In hearing of her death, Peter Yarrow said, “…I do know there will always be a hole in my heart, a place where she will always exist that will never be filled by any other person. However painful her passing is, I am forever grateful for Mary and her place in my life.”
However, Paul Stookey (who was very close to Travers) said, “I am deadened and heartsick beyond words to consider a life without Mary Travers and honored beyond my wildest dreams to have shared her spirit and her career.”

We’re all honored, Paul … and she’ll be missed. But, now, her spirit is blowin’ in the wind

And one of the most prolific and professional session drummers on planet Earth passed away of stomach cancer on Monday. Now, many statesiders haven’t heard of Bobby Graham, but, as anyone in the UK can tell you, he provided the backbeat of many songs that came out of the British Invasion.

In fact, it’s said that, all told, he played on 15,000 songs, including Dusty Springfield’s “I Only Want To Be With You,” Petula Clark’s “Downtown” and Them’s original “Gloria.” He was 69.

He also provided the solid beat on the Kink’s “You Really Got Me” and “All Day And All Of The Night” (who can forget that dynamic drum bridge?) as well as on some of Herman’s Hermits’ hits.
But he was also drummer on the recordings of the Dave Clark Five (though Dave did play the drums during their live gigs). While, as you’ve read in earlier post, Ron Ryan was responsible for the DC5’s “Tottenham sound”, Graham provided the backbeat to it!
Legend has it that he was also asked to replace Pete Best in the Beatles before Ringo Starr but turned them down.

A dynamic personality as well as drummer, Bobby is going to be seriously missed by his mates and fans around the world … including this balding bird!

VERY SHORT TAKES:

Yes, as with everyone else who ever watched his movies or followed this lanky Texan, I’m very saddened by the death of Patrick Swayze. His devotion to his family, his lovely wife Lisa, his fans and his profession were traits that aren’t often seen these days.

Kanye?? The Prez?? Well, on the one hand, West has gotta start a heavy diet of humble pie. Look … he isn’t as great as he thinks he is (how many others are just as good and top stars as well??), he’ll undoubtedly “fade out” as most hip-hop stars do (check the stats: they’re the quickest to lose their fame, and the field’s wayyy too crowded) and he’s a flesh-and-blood mortal who, with his egoic attitude and choice of genres, has put himself in a very dangerous position!

The President?? Well, lemme ask ya: Does President Obama have the same rights as the rest of us? Though he’s leader of the country, doesn’t he have the right to an opinion? Besides, he was right when he called Kanye a “jackass”. The guys who broke this remark (which was supposed to be off-the-record) on (of all things!) Twitter rather than telling their bosses first should be terminated from their jobs (hey … they broke business etiquette as well as a number of in-house rules at ABC).

I’VE BEEN LATE BECAUSE business has really begun to pick up over here at Rock Central, both with The Fore promos, extra articles up the yingyang, business reviews, the sites … and, of course, regular things like research, cleaning, errands, etc. But stay tuned: I’ve found a way to expedite these things and get more time to keep up yer fave rock blog!
So I’ll be back in less than 24 with more! Until then, I’ll …
see ya on the flip side …

Tom Jones, Springsteen and … FASHION??

First of all, the most energetic rock/balladeer of the past forty-plus years has to be the charismatic Tom Jones. Although the powerful voice from Pontypridd, Wales, will be 69 years old this year, the man who emits that voice is still as active — if not more so — as he was when he hit first gold with It’s Not Unusual in 1965!

And now he’ll be getting the Howie Richmond Hitmaker Award at the Songwriters Hall of Fame bash on June 18 in New York. The suits are giving him the props for his “exceptional staying power and accomplishments, along with his unique artistry.”

Oh … this is a lonnnnnng-overdue cred: the Towering Song Award will be given to Moon River and the accompanying Towering Performance Award to its singer, Andy Williams.
Without any doubt, this song is a true, dyed-in-the-wool classic, and one of the most enjoyable songs on the planet! So, as I said, it’s time someone gave it the recognition it deserves.
One more thing about this particular HoF: If anyone deserves to be inducted into this hall of scores, half-notes, bridges and clefs, it’s the master UK songwriter, Ron Ryan. Just take a read of his site, ask around of those who’ve recorded his songs, and you’ll see why!

“America’s Working-Class Hero”, Bruce Springsteen, is in the news here are well: Y’see, he’s got fourteen rare photos to be raffled off to donors to the Community FoodBank of New Jersey — and the raffle began yesterday (Thursday).
Now, once 14,000 donations of $25 or more are made, the lucky donors will be chosen … and what they’ll get are prints that not only include covers from the Boss’ albums … but they’ll be signed by the photographers!
This is just another example of how Springsteen reaches out to help others. Would that rockers around the world would take note …

And the latest poll by the UK’s Clothes Show Fashion event has determined the best-dressed icons of ’40s - ’90s … including the rock genre!
Of the Sixties, the top spot goes to Bridgette Bardot, who beat out The Beatles (awww, judging by their pic on the right, how could she??). The Seventies’ winner was Blondie’s Debbie Harry, who bested David Bowie, Diana Ross and Bianca Jagger.
The Eighties? Hands down, it was Madonna. Nineties? Kate Moss.
Now, if you’re old enough to remember these, then the 1940’s best-bedecked icon was Marlene Dietrich — and ’50s beauty Audrey Hepburn rounded out the list of winners.
Hmph … guess we guys have gotta try a little bit harder for this decade so … oh. Waitaminnit. Jagger and Elton John are still around. Okay, then. There’s hope yet …

HEY!! I know a load of readers are diggin’ the great rock sounds of The Fore. Well, here’s your chance to vote for their hit, Little Louisa, to become #1 on the Unsigned Charts Radio!
Just click here, fill in the name of the song (Little Louisa), the name of the band (The Fore), and then (if you’re not a member) just fill in your email address, press send, and the vote’s registered!
I’ll bring more on this over the next posts. But cast your vote now!

Well, that’s it for this one, yardbirds. Until later this evening, be sure to turn in yer rock hymnbooks to page 1 of Doc Rock’s new site … and I’ll see ya on the flip side!

NewsBreak (It Ain’t Me, Babe)

YouTube™ DOWN, Bristles UP …

With Google™-eyes focusing their laser vision on YouTube™ vids lately, you just know a lotta bloggers like the Double-E are fuming over stuff “disappearing” from their sites.
But there’s good news, campers: A coupla other webbies are workin’ around the clock to get a substitute online until the Big-G gets off their high-horse!
Stay tuned for more on this story as it unfolds …

McCARTNEY A SELL-OUT??

Yep … nodoubtabboudit! In fact, with his new gig at the opening of the New Joint at the Hardrock Hotel and Casino (a 4,000-seat venue), the tix were sold out …
in seven (right … 7) seconds!!
Now, in case you forgot yer calculators, that’s an average … of almost 600 seats a second for the April 14 show!
Yep … there are people already on the case, to see if it’s a world record for fastest-selling tickets! Might just be
Of course, we’re talkin’ Sir Paul McCartney here: former Beatle, former Wings frontman, on a two-year tour that (he says) will be his last (at least for awhile. He’ll be headin’ into semi-retirement after that!).
WANT TICKETS? (heh-heh … just kiddin’. All sold out, remember?)

EAGLES’ AUTOGRAPHED GUITAR UP FOR GRABS

Country-rock legends The Eagles are gettin’ geared up for their 2009 Long Road Out Of Eden tour, and, to promote it, they’re auctioning off a signed guitar for charity.
The Takamine G-Series acoustic guitar is signed by all four band members Don Henley, Glenn Frey, Joe Walsh and Timothy B. Schmidt, with proceeds goin’ to the Alzheimer’s Association.

But WAIT! There’s MORE …

Also bein’ auctioned off for charity are guitars signed by country duo Brooks and Dunn, pre-teen pop idol Miley Cyrus — and signed memorabilia from the Grateful Dead, Jewel, Fleetwood Mac’s Lindsay Buckingham, Scarlett Johansson, Maroon 5, New Kids On The Block and others.

To see what you can get and make an offer, head to the Charity Folks website.

SOME QUICK 411

The true goddess of rock, Tina Turner, was forced to cancel two dates of her British tour in London Wednesday (March 11) and in Sheffield today because of respiratory influenza. The shows’ll be rescheduled for May.
Y’know, this lady still puts on one of the most dynamically-exciting shows on the circuit … even at the tender age of 69! We all certainly wish her a speedy recovery,

A NEW RUNAWAY?

It’s official — former lovable child star Dakota Fanning will play Cherie Currie in the upcoming “Runaways” bio-movie. (Kristen Stewart had already been chosen to play Joan Jett.)

Perennially-lovely former Pips frontlady Gladys Knight has joined the cast of Tyler Perry’s upcoming movie, “I Can Do Bad All By Myself.” She’ll play the part of a church secretary in the movie, scheduled to start filming in Atlanta in just about four days. The producers have set a release date for September 11.

IT AIN’T ME, BABE

Now, I’m not one to complain, but …
over the past few days, I’ve noticed a few other webdudes comin’ out with material under my other moniker of “The Rock Relic”. And, honestly, some of the stuff ain’t exactly readable!
But to complec … complexi … make matters worse, there are a coupla other “Electric Eagles” out there — including some kinda equipment!
How can ya tell us apart??
Well, for one thing, I write about rock … and, while my style’s been called dialoguish, it’s still all been family-friendly (okay … PG-13 at most!). And for another, I’ve been doin’ it longer than the rest!
(Sigh!) But to avoid confusion, I’m gonna introduce a little twist to my name shortly (hey … it’s either that or go with Ron Ryan’s suggestion of steam-powered buzzard! Laughing)
So if ya run across someone with that handle who’s sendin’ out some bad vibes … it ain’t me, babe!

Okay … that’s all the time we have for now, but stay tuned … there’s more in less than 24! Until then, I’ll …

see ya on the flip side!

Amy’s Break-In, The Fore’s Break-Out!!

RON RYAN #1 AT NUMBER ONE!

Ya heard right … the legendary songwriter/singer Ron Ryan, who not only wrote many hit songs for the Dave Clark Five (including Because and Any Way You Want It), introduced a young Mitch Mitchell (later to become drummer for Jimi Hendrix) to the rock stage and is still writing fabulous pieces today, has made the top six of the Top Ten songs on Number One Music&#8482 with his “virtual band”, Dusty Rhodes!
Listen … if you wanna hear some great rockabilly/country and more, do yourself a big favor and click those links! You’re in for some fantastic music by Ron, Cliff Hitchcock and the gang! CONGRATULATIONS, Ron! Toldja before, mate, you’re still the best!!

THE FORE: BURNIN’ UP THE CHARTS!!

There’s no stopping the growth of the most amazing rock ensemble since The Beatles! Already, their Run and Hide CD is selling like the proverbial hotcakes, and, now, radio stations from around the world are playing tracks from their hit album!

While all Fore guys are turning thousands more into die-hard fans every week, their leader/bass player/songwriter/vocalist Spencer Hannabuss (pictured) is not only helping to steer the band to superstardom, but also has written all their songs … and, without those amazingly-fab arrangements, they’d be “just another band”.
Instead … they’re becoming the #1 rock band in the UK, Europe … soon, it’ll be America and then … the world!
If ya don’t have your copy of “Run and Hide” yet, just check out their site and get into the groove! You’ll be a ForeFan long before you’ve heard the last track!

Poor girl … she’s sure had her share of bad luck, hasn’t she??

And, now, we learn that burglars broke into Amy Winehouse’s London home Thursday morning and stole some valuable guitars, recording equipment and a flat-screen TV (apparently, no drugs ….).

Her spokesman, Chris Goodman said it was an easy mark if someone knew she’s on a Caribbean vacation.
He said, “It’s one of life’s little ironies. Usually, hundreds of paparazzi are outside her home. (When she’s there,) it’s the safest street in London.” Ummm … ooookayyyyyy … Winehouse and her attitude, hundreds of paparazzi, safest street …
yeah. Sure.

The “Rehab” singer is currently on the island of St. Lucia, and is “writing music with another guitar that didn’t get burgled. She’s doing very well and is enjoying her time away,” Goodman said, but she’s thinking about returning to London soon. (wait: House broken into, costly stuff stolen and her husband filing for divorce — and she’s just thinkin’ about returning?!? Geez …)

A neighbor called police to the home after two men kicked in the front door at 4 a.m. Thursday, according to a Metropolitan Police spokeswoman. No arrests have been made, she said. London police have already recovered some of the electronics taken.

Okay … that’s it for this go-’round. So, until later on this evening,
I’ll see ya on the flip side!

HAPPY NEWs YEAR …

First, to all my UK readers: Thanks for sending over the New Year festivities when you were done with ‘em (you had ‘em five hours earlier than us, at least). They weren’t damaged in transit.

Now … on to the News (and stuff):

Led Zeppelin’s Robert Plant will receive a Commander of the British Empire (CBE) medal for “services to music.” The list of awards to be presented by Queen Elizabeth just came out Wednesday. (IMHO, if anyone oughtta get the award — and for the same reason — it’d be Ron Ryan. You’d be hard-pressed to find anyone who knows more about rock, written more superb music, and yet retain the honor and humility befitting the CBE).

ON THE “THEME PARK” FRONT: It looks like the Hard Rock Park in Myrtle Beach, SC, has gone “belly-up” permanently. The Horry County Commissioners are considering putting up the park area for condos, strip malls, or some other use. (Reason? It’s too expensive to resurrect, from what I’ve gathered …)

And plans to build an Elvis Presley theme park in Las Vegas are in doubt after the developers (including the company that owns the likeness and name of Elvis and operates Graceland) said this past Monday. Seems they defaulted on a $475 million loan and may lose the 18 acres of land the park was to have been built on.

ON THE FORE-FRONT

Listen — if you haven’t gotten your copy of The Fore’s new CD, Run and Hide, you’re missin’ out on one of the best rock albums to come down the pike in decades!
Now, my mates at Rock-Talk have a couple of what we call “teasers” to kinda tempt yer musical taste buds! If you’re not a member of this popular board, the double-E highly recommends it! You’ll make some great friends, learn loads about the classic rock scene (and more), and find some outtasite music there as well!

Okay … it’s short but sweet for now (well, short anyway …), but stay tuned … there’ll be more in less than 24 (actually, I’ll be workin’ on a new one tonight!). So, until then …

I’ll see ya on the flip side!

As 2008 Ends …

Hmmmm … listen, you know the Double-E’s wishin’ you all a great New Year, but …
but, for you readers in the UK, it’s gonna be 2009 while we statesiders are still stuck in 2008!.
Sooooo … does that mean whatever I write tomorrow is gonna travel through a time-warp to get to you who are already in the next year? Geez … now I feel important! lol

Actually, 2008 had its ups and downs in just about every topic, but none more than in rock (well, that and Obama. But just go with me on this, huh?).

 • We lost a bonafide legend, superstar and awesome talent when Mike Smith — former keyboardist/vocalist for the Dave Clark Five — passed away.
 • But we rejoiced when drummer/songwriter/rockmeister Peter Dintino actually beat leukemia (with the skill of great doctors, the grace of God, a fabulous attitude, prayers and thoughts from readers and friends worldwide — and a special angel-daughter named Lin who encouraged him, stayed by his side, and kept us all informed throughout the ordeal.
 • It was the year we lost one of the most optimistic people who ever walked show-business earth. Teen-show legend (and close friend) Lloyd Thaxton. He, like Mike Smith, is still missed terribly.
 • On the plus side: I met and introduced you to the most prolific songwriter since Lennon and McCartney (IMHO); a man who epitomizes the word gentleman and knows more about the Sixties UK beat better than anyone, Ron Ryan … a man whom I’m proud to call a great friend.

There were many other milestones, but the one I’m most thrilled about is getting to know the ultra-fab sounds and members of The Fore. Keep your eyes on these lads, ’cause 2009’s gonna see them take the international stage by storm!

The blogs, the articles, the reviews, the personal appearances, and now U.S. Press Agent for The Fore — if not for you fantabulistic yardbirds readin’ this writin’ (whether here or on the original, other site [which went belly-up earlier this year]) , none of it would’ve happened.

So, to you all, I wish the happiest and most peaceful of New Years, with every song yer heart sings goin’ #1-with-a-bullet (meaning, solid gold!). Now … until tomorrow,

see ya on the flip side!

A Burdon Lifted and More …

Well, it looks like a Burdon’s been lifted from John Steel’s band of Animals.
Y’see, a UK trademark judge has ruled in favor of original Animals drummer John Steel, who’s fought a three-year battle with Eric Burdon to obtain a UK trademark on the group’s name (he has a band called The Animals that’s been touring since 1997). In the ruling, the judge said that Burdon (who now lives in California and does solo appearance) “seems to contend that he is, at least in his own mind, a rock and roll legend whose mere existence serves to keep the goodwill in the original band alive. He is, I am afraid, mistaken… To my mind, the goodwill accrued by the band during the period 1963 to 1966 would have long dissipated by… the date of the application.” He ordered Eric to pay $8,800 toward John’s court costs.

SOME FAB SONGS BY RON RYAN

As many of you already know, Ron Ryan — who penned many songs for the legendary Dave Clark Five and introduced the late Mitch Mitchell to the professional rock stage — is still cranking out some of the best rock in the universe!
Fortunately — and with credit going to Rock-Talk™ for these numbers — I’m able to share these with you! Now, it’s obvious that the last one on here is a classic from wayyyyyy back, but Ron adds great vocals to it:

Thinkin’

Thinkin’ ‘Bout You

The One

White Christmas

Ron’s a true superstar in every sense of the word — and you can read more about him on his site

HERE’S RON’S TUNE FOREVER AS DONE BY CLIFF HITCHCOCK
The production is fabulous, and the song is just an indication of how talented Ron and Cliff really are:

Okay … since it’s pushing 5:30 in the AM here, I’m gonna cut this a bit short … been a busy day and didn’t get online until a short time ago. Also, a close friend of mine died and I did a tribute to him on another site!
But tune in tomorrow, and we’ll have more rockin’ goodies hot and fresh for ya!

Remember: keep your eyes on the ground, your nose in the wind, your heart with the radio …

and I’ll see you on the flip side!
